Cervinia Ski Holidays

Cervinia is one of the highest resorts in the Italian Alps. The village is towered over by the mighty Matterhorn and is surrounded by some of Europe’s most amazing peaks. Cervinia’s ever increasing popularity is due to its fantastic snow conditions that are complimented by long hours of sunshine and a good variety of runs. The centre of Cervinia is closed to coaches. Therefore access to some central hotels on arrival and departure day means that you will be on foot and in some cases carrying bags so check where your accommodation is before booking.

There are a few good bars such as Copa Pan or the Dragon Bar. Some have live music and there are also a few disco’s that get busier at the weekends. Off the slopes there is a fitness centre, bowling and a natural ice rink.

Cervinia has an area pass that opens up to include the amazing Zermatt and some really challenging skiing and boarding. Cervinia’s main slopes are high, open and sunny so perfect for learning. The Cretaz lifts serve the nursery slopes leading down to the resort centre where you will make fast progress up to the higher longer runs from Plateau Rosa. Intermediates will just love the area as there are plenty of long sweeping runs with a few moguls to test your legs on. Choose a good sunny day and ski over to Zermatt. Advanced skiers will definitely want to try the long black run down to Plan Torette as there are plenty of challenges here. On the Swiss side in Zermatt there are some amazing opportunities to test your skills with some fantastically steep terrain on offer. The ‘Indian’ terrain park is one of the best in Italy. There are also expert jumps, boxes and rails including a 10m tube.
