If you’re looking for an authentic mountain stay, then the Hotel Christine will be right up your piste. It’s been run by the same family for generations, and from check-in to mealtimes, the service is second to none. Looks-wise, it’s classic alpine, with its timber cladding and shuttered windows.

You’re in Campitello, one of the main towns that makes up Val di Fassa, which means you’ve got plenty of bars and shops on hand. And there’s a free ski bus stop a matter of metres away, so getting around the rest of the resort is nice and simple too.

Once you’re done skiing for the day, you can give your legs some well-earned downtime in the hotel’s sauna. Afterwards, set yourself up for dinner in true Italian style with an aperitivo and some nibbles in the bar. And then it’s on to dinner, which is all about simple, tasty dishes that’ll leave you feeling full – think stews with polenta and creamy risottos.
