Chalet Vallon is a cozy chalet in the French Alps with stunning views of the Bellvarde mountains. It’s just a short walk from the ski lifts and has a homey feel with wood paneling and a stone fireplace. The kitchen is open-plan and there are L-shaped sofas and plush seating on the balconies.

Chalet Vallon is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of skiing or snowboarding. The chalet is just a short walk from the ski lifts, so you can easily get to the slopes. And when you’re ready to come back, you can warm up by the fire or relax in the sauna.

Relaxed and warm– The chalet is split into two levels with most of the clear bedrooms located on the upper floor. The quite cosy bedrooms are set with twin beds, they are all en suite with baths or showers and they offer good storage space.

This will be a great accommodation for skiers and boarders looking for quick access to skiing due to the immediate access to the pistes – you just need to step out the door and clip in! The chalet building has heated boot warmers in the basement and ski lockers at ground floor level. Free Wi-Fi is also included.

The Chalet building offers a unique position, in the sought-after Praz de la Legettaz area, right on the piste with a very easy pisted path taking you directly to the Solaise bubble. It is ideal for getting to ski school or being the first on the slopes every day. It is possible also to ski back to the chalet via the steep black run, Epaule de Charvet, or via the red run, Santons. For beginners, the bus would be the best option to return to the property. The resort centre can be reached with a 10-15 minutes’ walk across the nursery slopes or otherwise with the local bus which runs every 15 minutes. The bus stop for the Train Blue route is literally a few steps from the door.

Val D’Isere is considered by some to be the world’s premier resort and it is hard to fault. It offers some of the best skiing and boarding in the world along with some mighty fine après ski. The pretty village dates back to the 13th century and still manages to retain some of its Savoyarde charm. The resort itself is made up of wood and stone clad buildings with a pedestrian only centre in the village complex. Chalets, apartments and hotels are all available to book for those perfect ski holidays.

Val D’Isere gets 5 stars for après ski as there are plenty of bars and dancing on offer later on. The Folie Douce at the top of the La Daille gondola has become a bit of an Austrian style après ski party with music and dancing before heading back to the chalet for dinner. Back in the village Bananas, Cafe Face, the Moris pub and the Saloon fill up with people coming off the slopes. Later on if you still have the energy head out to the famous Dick’s Tea Bar or try the new club called the Doudoune. Off the slopes there is still plenty to keep you occupied with the swimming pool, sports centre, ice rink and a huge range of shops.

Val d’Isere links up with Tignes to form the Espace Killy offering a fantastic 300Km of pistes. There are wooded slopes above the village on all sectors which are great for bad visibility days. The nursery slopes are ideally placed right by the centre of town and the lifts serving it are free. Intermediates will want to come back year after year as there are plenty of runs to keep you interested time and time again. The glacier has a good variety of runs for early intermediates to find their legs on and the World Cup downhill run is the best for cruising down.

Val d’Isere is one of the top resorts in the world for experts with the main attraction being the huge amount of off piste. On Bellevarde the famous Face run is not to be missed and can sometimes be full of moguls. We definitely recommend hiring a guide though if you fancy tasting some of the off piste that can be found throughout the area of the Espace Killy as it is just amazing.
