Step back in time at the Hôtel des Dromonts, a truly unique hotel nestled in the historic heart of Avoriaz. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be transported to the vibrant 1960s, with its signature Morzine slate flooring, iconic designer furniture, and a playful palette of purples, oranges, and reds creating a vintage-chic atmosphere. This architectural marvel boasts a “fan-shaped” design by Jacques Labro, offering panoramic mountain views and playful spaces, making it an ideal base for exploring the fantastic Portes du Soleil Ski Area and the resort centre’s shops, bars, and restaurants.
The entire hotel is a contemporary ode to the 1960s. Its warm and cosy interiors are filled with bright colours and retro-designed furniture, instantly taking you back in time. The rooms continue this delightful theme, featuring cedar wood accents, plush furnishings, and vibrant walls. Each room also provides incredible views across the snow-capped peaks.
Ski-in/Ski-out Perfection
Surrounded by magnificent snow-covered peaks and ideally situated right in the centre of Avoriaz, the Hôtel des Dromonts offers direct ski-in/ski-out access to the expansive Portes du Soleil ski area. With a staggering 600 kilometres of runs to explore, you truly won’t have to ski the same run twice.
Relax & Unwind
Soothe your tired ski legs at the hotel’s stylish spa, which perfectly blends Avoriaz’s classic materials like wooden tiles and slate with a touch of psychedelic decoration for a truly peaceful wellness experience. Unwind in the outdoor Nordic bath, detox in the sauna, or relax in the hammam. A dedicated relaxation area with suspended armchairs offers a perfect spot for quiet contemplation.
After an exhilarating day on the Portes du Soleil slopes, warm up in Le Festival bar. Sink into the comfortable wool and leather armchairs, admire the Avoriaz Fantastic Festival posters, and enjoy a hot chocolate, a local aperitif, or a signature cocktail. It’s a lovely space to gather after a day on the slopes or for a cosy night in.
You’ll also have superb dining options. Les Enfants Terribles is the hotel’s main restaurant, included with half-board, serving delicious evening meals inspired by classic French cuisine. Alternatively, you can receive credit to enjoy a more informal dining experience at Le Festival restaurant, which offers local specialties like fondue and grilled meats, alongside comforting burgers and other snacks.
