All Neustift Packages
The village of Neustift is as traditional as it gets, from the Baroque church in the centre to the timber-framed buildings with pitched roofs and wrap-around balconies. Here, your off-slope time is all about relaxing in your hotel bar or chatting to locals and listening to live music in one of the friendly pubs.
It’s also worth a trip to the glacier when you’re not skiing too – you can go inside the Ice Grotto to see sparkling tunnels of blue ice, stop for a meal at Austria’s highest restaurant, Jochdohle at 3,150m, and step out onto the Top of Tyrol viewing platform to look out over a sea of peaks across Austria and Italy.
Not for nothing is the Stubai Glacier nicknamed the Kingdom of Snow – it’s the biggest glacier ski area in Austria and is smothered in the white stuff from October ‘til May. The 65km of slopes are split between blues and reds, with a couple of fast black runs thrown in for good measure, and they’re pretty much all quiet, wide and great for carving. Itching to explore further? Well to bump up the total to 291km of slopes, across nearby areas like Schlick 2000, Axamer Lizum and Kühtai, just upgrade to the Ski Plus City Pass.
