The Icelandic Super Jeep with its reinforced chassis, 4 feet diameter wheels and deflatable tires for traction on snow is the way to get to parts other vehicles can’t reach! The frozen stalactites formed on Gulfoss, Snæfellsnes’ eternal pyramid of snow; climbing upside the Langjökull glacier and Geysir’s drifting steam fumaroles are just some of the iconic sights that are something special when seen from a Super Jeep.
Just 7 times each winter we take small groups of no more than 12 like minded people on a generally inaccessible trail in south east Iceland and out along the Snæfellsnes peninsula. Led by our chief guide Gummi Gudjonsson these are unique opportunities to see crystal gleaming scenery, dramatic geological formations and sparkling waterfalls. Overnight accommodation is in comfortable tourist class hotels: Northern Light Inn, Hamar in Borgarnes and Leifur Eiriksson in Reykjavík.
