Mayrhofen is set to be the venue for another epic festival as Editors are announced as the headline act at Snowbombing 2010.

Snowbombing, which takes place from 5-10 April 2010 in Mayrhofen, is a Mecca for mountain music festival lovers.

After celebrating its 10th birthday in March with the help of Dizzee Rascal and Grandmaster Flash, the 2010 line up needed to impress and the festival organisers have done just that by securing platinum album-selling band Editors.

Joining Editors on the Mayrhofen slopes will be Friendly Fires, who played at the London Freeze, Doves, The Enemy, Vitalic, hip-hop legends De La Soul and a host of other acts.

The bands and DJs will be taking to stages across the resort, including the now infamous Arctic Disco and the annual Forest Party. “The Arctic Disco is something else,” said the Ski Club’s Katie Gotla, who visited the event in March. “It’s pretty cool to dance at 2000m inside an Igloo. The 10th birthday party at the Forest Stage was a great way to finish the festival – 2ManyDJ’s stole the show”.
